LPAR & Live Partition Mobility
Evolving Solutions offers clients the opportunity to revolutionize their corporate IT infrastructures by means of server virtualization using Local Partitioning (LPAR) and live partition mobility. LPAR is a system architecture that provides the capability to divide a system's resources allowing independent operating systems to work concurrently on one server. LPAR allows the division of a single server into several completely independent logical partitions to act as separate servers.
Originally developed for mainframe computers in 1999 on the iSeries, LPAR has re-energized server consolidation and cost-effective IT strategies. LPAR optimizes IT investments and allows Evolving Solutions clients the benefit of increasing their return on investment and conserving costly datacenter space.
